Frequently asked questions
What areas does Cloud Powered IT serve?
We're based in Canton, Georgia and support businesses across Cherokee County and North Atlanta, including Woodstock, Holly Springs, Alpharetta, Roswell, Marietta, Kennesaw and Cumming. Because our services are cloud-delivered, we also support clients remotely in other states, including California.
What size businesses do you work with?
We focus on small and mid-sized businesses: companies that have outgrown "the person who's good with computers" but don't need a full internal IT department.
How much do managed IT services cost?
Pricing is per user, per month, and depends on what each user needs. We quote after a free assessment so you get a firm number. Our pricing guide explains the models and what drives cost.
How fast do you respond?
Company-wide outages get a 30-minute response and an engineer working until it's fixed. Single-user issues get a response within 3 hours, and standard requests within 24 hours. The help desk runs Mon–Fri 8am–6pm, with an after-hours emergency line for clients.
Do we have to sign a long contract?
We'll go through terms in your proposal. We'd rather keep clients because the service is good than because a contract says so.
We already have an IT provider. How hard is it to switch?
Easier than most people expect. We handle the handoff, collect passwords and documentation, and run both in parallel until everything is confirmed. See how switching works.
Do you offer co-managed IT?
Yes. If you have internal IT staff, we provide the help desk overflow, security tools, monitoring and senior engineering they need, with responsibilities agreed in writing.
Do you support Macs?
Yes. We manage macOS devices with Intune alongside Windows, including encryption, patching and app deployment.
Are you a Microsoft partner?
We work in the Microsoft cloud every day: Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Azure and Hyper-V. Ask us about licensing through a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider so billing and support sit in one place.
What happens to our data if we leave?
It's yours. Your Microsoft 365 tenant, domains and backups stay in your name, and we hand over documentation and admin access when you go.
