Signs it's time to switch IT providers
- You've stopped submitting tickets because nothing happens.
- You get the same problem fixed again and again.
- Nobody can tell you whether your backups have been tested.
- Your provider can't help you answer a cyber insurance questionnaire.
- Admin passwords live with one technician, or in a spreadsheet.
- You don't have a written plan for what IT needs next year.
How switching works
Most businesses stay with a bad IT provider because they're afraid of the handoff. Here's what it actually looks like with us:
- Free assessment. We review your environment, ideally without needing anything from your current provider yet.
- Proposal and plan. You get one flat monthly price, the onboarding plan and a target go-live date.
- Notice and handoff. We give you a handoff checklist for your current provider: admin credentials, domain and DNS access, Microsoft 365 global admin, licensing, backups, firewall and documentation.
- Parallel run. Our tools go in alongside theirs. We verify every account, backup and device before anything of theirs is removed.
- Lock down. Old provider access is revoked, passwords rotated, and our security baseline goes live.
What if my current provider won't cooperate?
It happens. Your Microsoft 365 tenant, your domain and your data belong to you, and there are recovery paths for each through Microsoft and your domain registrar. We've handled uncooperative handoffs before and we'll handle the awkward conversations.
